Raul Jiménez played again without the protective headband in the Premier League

Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez played for the first time in more than a year without wearing the protective headband he was wearing after he suffered a fractured skull in November 2021 that took him away from the courts for several months.

The Mexican played in this Saturday’s match against Brighton in the Premier League after coming on as a substitute in the minute 46 when the team was down 0-1. This was the first time he went out on the field without protection after a clash with defender David Luiz.

Since Jiménez returned to the courts after 8 months out due to the blow to the season 2021-2022, made several tests to determine what type of protection worked best and did not reduce functionality when performing on the field of play.

Through various interviews, Jiménez confessed that the protection gave him security, although it was uncomfortable at first, but he knew how to adapt to it and thus take advantage of it and take care of his physique.

Raúl Jiménez has scored six goals in the current season of the Premier League 2021-2022 returning to his level, although far from what was his best season in which he scored 17 targets in the campaign 2019-2020.

Jimenéz will be one of the offensive references of the Mexican team in the World Cup in Qatar 2022 in November.
