All or nothing for the UNAM Pumas in one of the most important weeks of recent years where they fight for the continental title against the Seattle Sounders, but with the necessary concentration they were able to beat Pachucha 2-0 and secure a spot in the playoffs.

With several casualties, Andrés Lillini had to make several changes to be able to cover the absences of Alan Waiter, Sebastián Saucedo and Nicolás Frerie, forcing several players from the quarry to be summoned, as has been happening in recent times.

Forced to win

Ciudad Universitaria was surrounded by a large group of fans who were waiting a good result to keep them alive in the competition, and as happened in the last Apertura tournament, the Pumas waited until the last day to get their pass to the playoffs.

The key was in the bank with the income of Juan Ignacio Dinenno, who was in charge of giving the three points to the university team after scoring the two goals of the match and with a difference of 5 minutes.

The first goal came from a header after a corner kick taken by Leonel López, taken advantage of by Dinenno . The defense of Pachuca was not attentive enough to repel the attack and ended up succumbing to set pieces.

Packed on the attack, Pumas showed signs of strength and went on the attack. Again Juan Ignacio Dinenno reappeared after another defensive error by Pachuca

, which caused the Argentine to go hand in hand with the goalkeeper Óscar Ustari and define a cross to place the final 2-0.

The Pumas will face next Wednesday Seattle Sounders in search of the continental title, while waiting for a rival in the playoff of the Liga MX, where they will try to repeat what they did in the last Opening Tournament after staying one step away from the Grand Final.
