Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis confirmed that the same Hornet will also have a plug-in hybrid variant, although he did not offer any details about its mechanics. Even so, experts believe that everything points to it being a shared mechanic with the Alfa Romeo Tonale.

The plug-in hybrid Alfa Romeo hits the market with a turbo engine 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine supported by an electric motor and battery 12.5 kWh with which you can reach up to 272 horsepower. A fairly high figure and that can even place it in the category of sports court considering that the average power in that segment is 160 horses.

Dodge guarantees that it will not build another Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat like the one up for auction.

The American brand is also preparing to show the world for the first time a concept of electric muscle car it is developing. This car would be presented at an event at the end of 2022.
