Ashley Judd is devastated by the death of her mother, singer Naomi Judd

Country music superstar Naomi Judd, who was part of the successful duo The Judds and mother of actress Ashley Judd and singer Wynonna Judd, passed away this Saturday at 76 years old , his family confirmed. The singer died one day after the ceremony for her induction into the Country Hall of Fame , along with Wynonna , with whom he formed the winning duo of several awards Grammy in the decades of the years 80 Y 90.

Faced with the tragedy, Ashley wrote on her Twitter account that both she and her sister, Wynonna, are heartbroken. “Today, my sister and I experienced a tragedy. We lost our precious mother due to mental illness. We are devastated. We are going through a deep duel and we know that, just as we loved her, her public loved her too. We are in uncharted territory,” Judd wrote.

The actress preferred to keep details about the country singer’s death private, who was preparing for the reunion of The Judds (along with her daughter Wynonna) in September and that would take her on tour through several cities in USA. Naomi Judd ranked number one on the popularity charts for more than a dozen times, as “Love can build a bridge”, “Why not me ”, “Mama he’s crazy” and “Grandpa”, among others.

Naomi was originally from Ashland, Kentucky and worked as a nurse until the early 1990s 1980, when she sang on a television program with her daughter Wynonna and a producer from the RCA record company discovered them.
