A leak about the possible new functions that WhatsApp will incorporate in its next version revealed that the instant messaging app is working on a tool that will allow you to use the same account from multiple devices.

The information about the new function was revealed thanks to a screenshot of an alleged beta version of the application that was published by the portal WaBetaInfo.

What is known is that the function will allow registering what they call “complementary devices”, with which users will be able to access their WhatsApp account from additional computers.

Everything seems to indicate that in order to use this function users must perform some type of scanning from the new computer that p they intend to use , in a similar way to what happens when you log in from WhatsApp Web. It is speculated that this would allow people to use the application on their tablets through this mechanism.

One aspect to note is that At the moment the function is only present in beta versions of the application, therefore it is still in the testing phase. Precisely for this reason it is unknown when it could become available to the general public, and even if it will to happen at some point.

This is due to the fact that other functionalities are known that, despite reaching the beta phase, have not received the approval of the company and therefore both have not come to fruition.

New features

Announcement of This new feature, which WhatsApp has not yet commented on, comes after the application implemented new features to make life easier for its users.

Among them is the possibility of continue listening to voice notes sent by contacts after closing the corresponding chat. This was one of the main requests from users who pointed out that the need to keep the chat open was somewhat annoying.

Another update made recently is the possibility of using the web version of WhatsApp without the need for the phone where the account is open to be connected to the Internet. Thanks to this, users can keep in touch independently from their phone, which will be synchronized once it has an Internet connection.
