Andy Ruiz responded to controversial speculation that mentioned a possible separation of the Mexican-American boxer from the Canelo Team . The reports spoke of a break between “Destroyer” and Eddy Reynoso as a result of the absence of the boxer born in California.
“In two more weeks I will be back with Eddy Reynoso already training. I know there are a lot of people who are talking shit about leaving Canelo’s gym . No, I just wanted to have my place because Canelo and Eddy go to his house and rest. I made my own place to be fit and ready (…) All the race that thinks I’m not with Eddy, but we are . I wanted to have my gym for my soldier, to be focused”, Andy Ruiz clarified in an interview for ESNEWS.
The fighter of 32 years of age arrived at the Canelo Team in 2021, after Ruiz lost in the ring to Anthony Joshua. Eddy Reynoso led his preparation for the Mexican-American to recover against Chris Arreola.

Far from the controversies generated in recent days, Andy Ruiz expressed his desire to be with Eddy Reynoso again and described the opportunities you will gain by continuing to be under your guardianship.
“ Of course I am going to return. Eddy is an extraordinary trainer who has a lot of experience fighting southpaws. He sees how many southpaws have fought Canelo. So he has a lot of experience and that’s why he’s going to help me”, he explained.
Andy Ruiz will fight against the Cuban Luis “King Kong” Ortiz next August at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
