The young driver William Valdés, a very popular figure also on social networks, resorted to his YouTube channel to denounce an intense discrediting strategy against him, the same one that would have been in charge of disseminating this week in the Mexican press his alleged homosexuality and his apparent entry into a virtual platform for singles to meet people of the same sex
In the video he published, the presenter of television programs such as “Come joy” and “The academy” wanted to make it very clear that he will not speak directly -and less out of obligation- about his sexual orientation, a very intimate area that for now he only wants to deal with those relatives and friends who enjoy your complete trust.
“This is a subject that makes many people morbid, because they always ask: ‘What is William’s sexuality?’ And here’s my answer: ‘What the fdo you care?’ My sexuality is my sexuality because I live it and it is part of my life. And I have decided to keep my sexuality in private, don’t talk about her. Be bisexual, be non-binary, be straight, be gay… You don’t care. Do not care. The day I want to talk about my sexuality, I’m going to talk about it and I’m going to do it because I want to, not because this rabble decides it for me”, he told his followers.
The also Cuban artist and dancer -who worked for several years in Miami before moving to the Mexican capital- did not hesitate to accuse some sectors of the national press of having tried to discredit him and belittle his professional value -based on attacks personal and insulting – since his arrival in the Aztec country three years ago.
In his recording, Valdés also hinted that the animosity that some feel towards him is due to his status as a foreigner . “Now I wonder why, why would they want to damage the image of a foreign, Cuban driver… I know, but I’m going to keep that to myself,” he lamented in his speech.
On the sidelines of his desire to keep his sentimental and sexual sphere in the strictest secrecy (at least in the face of public opinion), William, of 28 years, it did not take him long to flatly deny that theory that is spreading at full speed through the Mexican media and social networks. “In my life I have known this network, and supposedly I am in that network to have sex with same-sex couples.
