From Japan, the classic Renault 4 has been recreated under the name of Ancel Lapin.
The Renault 4 that has fulfilled 60 years during 2021 obtains, from distant Japanese lands, a faithful replica called Ancel Lapin.
It should be emphasized that this variant is derived from the Suzui Lapin, a key car. Although the firm DAMD has also been given participation to shape this Renault 4.
Thanks to this it has been reconditioned to Ancel Lapin to generate a very similar aspect that even includes the logo of the French house.
On the other hand, the bumpers, lights and other components have been modified to make it similar to the popular diamond model.
It should be noted that the Ancel Lapin is 26 centimeters less than the product European. But as a conclusion and when appreciating the images, the resemblances are really incredible.
Mechanically hidden under the hood is the 0.6L propellant that generates about 60 horsepower. It is much more powerful than the original. Perhaps for its city use and for the small streets of Japan it is enough and more than enough to fulfill its mission.
For the most nostalgic the Ancel Lapin represents a nod to the past although it would be expected from Renault the return of 4 in zero emissions format.
