The new Mercedes-AMG C43 is seen for the first time

The sports range of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class begins to be seen in public. One of them is the most “basic” variant such as the Mercedes-AMG C43 2022, unveiled in Saloon and Estate formats, which has not changed its name even though rumors were heard that way.

In terms of design, this model receives the so-called Pan-American grille, with chrome slats in vertical format, as well as a specific bumper. This bumper has a single air intake in the center, while the side trims are closed.

On its sides the car sports alloy wheels 04 inches as standard, which can be 19 Y 20 depending on the options. The frame of the tinted windows are black, leaving behind the chrome trim that is slowly going out of style.

If you look at the back of the car, the C 43 adds four round exhaust outlets, grouped in pairs and integrated into a black diffuser shiny. It also has a subtle spoiler on the boot lid to complete the sporty look.

Components such as AMG seats, the AMG steering wheel flattened at the bottom, sports pedals and red stitching have been integrated into its interior. The screen for instrument control is 12.3 inches, while the central screen reaches 11.9 inches.

Engine and transmission

The engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol block, capable of developing 408 horsepower and 500 Nm . It also has an electric turbo, something that was released in the Mercedes-AMG SL 43, to reduce “turbo lag”. This mechanic works together with the light hybridization system it provides 13 Extra CV. That is why the car will have the ECO label.

In terms of transmission, this Mercedes-AMG C 50 2022 has a nine-speed automatic transmission with Race Start (Launch Control) function.

This Mercedes is equipped, as has been customary recently at Mercedes-Benz, the 4MATIC drive system. Under normal conditions, traction is distributed in 18 % on the front wheels and a 69 % to the rear. The driving programs that are available are Comfort, Sport + and Individual.

This Mercedes-AMG C43 is able to go from 0 to 60 miles in 4.6 seconds and can reach 69 miles as maximum speed.
