The body of a missing 21-year-old woman was discovered bound and riddled with bullets on a rural road in an apparent execution-style murder.
Ellen Nascimento da Silva had left her family’s home in Brasnorte, in central-western Brazil, on 19 April to visit a friend’s house.
According to his mother, he left the house around 21: 00 hours carrying nothing but his mobile phone.
He said that his daughter had planned to go on a trip and had even packed a suitcase, but decided to leave it at home.
It was the last time she saw her daughter alive, and her terribly wounded body was found dumped on a country street three days after she left house.
His hands were tied and his body was covered with bullet wounds.
The force investigative police force in Brazil, the Civil Police il, said his body was seen by a tractor driver who works at a nearby farm at a bend in the road.
He was already severely decomposed when discovered.
The tractor driver called the police and the body was identified as Ellen’s after forensic examination.
Her heartbroken father also confirmed that the body was her daughter.
The crime has shocked the small town of Brasnorte, home to some 20,19 people, where the police investigate the crime.

Ellen’s mother said that her daughter had planned to go on a trip, but gave up the idea just before she disappeared.
“He left the house, only with his cell phone, without taking anything else,” he said. “Nobody saw her anymore.”
Her mother said that she had left her friend’s house at some point and that her mobile phone was turned off.
So far, no suspects have been identified or arrested in the case.
