Apple Self Service Repair: Parts and tools now available for consumers to repair their phones themselves

Manzana announced that its self-service equipment repair is now available to all its users in the United States. Through this mechanism, people will be able to obtain manuals and original components with which to fix their devices.

The company indicated that are working to expand this service to other countries, starting with Europe, by the end of the year.

“The new online store offers more than 200 individual parts and tools, which which allows customers who are experienced with the intricacies of electronic device repair to complete repairs on iPhone lines 12 and iPhone 13 and iPhone SE (3rd generation) , such as the screen, battery and camera”, reported the company.

As part of the expansion of this new line of business Apple will offer, in the coming months, the necessary components and manuals to be able to repair Mac computers.

From Apple they explain that the first step to use the self-service of equipment repair the person must enter the company’s website to access the manuals and know what parts they need. Once this is done you can access the online store and place your order with the components and tools you will need.

“Each genuine Apple part is designed for each product and undergoes extensive testing to ensure the highest quality, safety and reliability. The parts are the same, at the same price, as those available in Apple’s network of authorized repair providers”, they detail.

For some of the products, Apple will offer a sort of refund if the user returns the replaced part so that it can be recycled by the company.

Among the tools available are torque screwdrivers, repair trays, screen presses and battery, among others. They clarify that the repair kits do not necessarily have to be purchased, since users will also have the option to rent them for $14.

“ Apple will offer rental tool kits for $14, so customers who don’t want to buy tools for a single repair still have access to these professional repair tools. One-week rental kits will be sent to customers free of charge”, they conclude.
