Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias the Mencho, leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel ( CJNG), ordered to place explosive mines in the town of Aguililla, Michoacán, the place where he was born and where his home was, to eliminate the rival drug traffickers, like Viagras, already the Mexican military. By the way, the Army deactivated 279 artisanal mines, manufactured by the CJNG, in the midst of the dispute over the plaza of the state of Michoacán, on the Mexican Pacific coast.

According to the newspaper, the CJNG turned explosive mines into its new defense and attack mechanism against the Nueva Familia Michoacana , the Viagras and the Correa, all members of the United Cartels. The artifacts are made of steel and PVC tubes filled with gunpowder and metal splinters. According to security experts from the Mexican government, the power of these mines exceeds that of a Fragmentation grenade.
The minefields are located on cattle ranches in the municipalities of Tepalcatepec, Aguililla, Coalcoman, Apatzingán and Buenavista Tomatlan .
