Irvine man charged with stabbing double homicide at Anaheim apartment

An Irvine man was charged this Friday with a double homicide in the stabbing of a co-worker and his roommate committed on 19 April in an apartment in Anaheim.

Ramy Hany Mounir Fahim, aged 19 years old, received two counts of homicide in special circumstances of multiple vehicles and lying in wait . In addition, he faces an increased sentence for personal use of a deadly weapon.

Fahim could receive at least one sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole if found guilty at trial, while due to special circumstances he could be eligible for the death penalty.

Fahim is suspected of stabbing Griffin Robert Cuomo to death, and to Jonathan Andrew Bahm, both 23 years old and residents of Anaheim, according to Sgt. Shane Carringer of the Anaheim Police Department.

AND n Tuesday 19 in April, Anaheim police officers were Called at approximately 6: 30 am due to a suspected assault in progress at an apartment on the block 512761168 of East Katella Avenue, in the vicinity of Angel Stadium.

When the agents arrived at the scene, they found the bodies of the two victims and of Fahim, who had suffered a minor injury .

Fahim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for his injury and was subsequently questioned by detectives regarding the incident. Ultimately, Fahim was arrested and booked as a suspect in the double homicide.

The authorities recovered the weapon with which the double crime had allegedly been committed

, according to Sergeant Carringer.

Fahim had been Cuomo’s co-worker in the finance area of an office in Irvine, authorities said.

At the moment no details were reported on the reason that could have caused the double homicide .

Fahim pled not guilty during his arraignment in the Santa Ana jail courtroom.

The suspect is scheduled to stand trial May 6 at the North Justice Center in Fullerton.

Fahim’s attorney, Ed Wel bourn, declined to comment to the media.
