Missing couple found shot to death in wooded area in New Hampshire

A couple who were reported missing earlier this week were found shot to death in a wooded area in Concord, New Hampshire, CBS Boston reported.

Detectives reported that Stephen Reid, of 67 years, and Djeswende Reid, of 66, were shot numerous times and the deaths were ruled murders.

Their corpses They were found Thursday night on Portsmouth Strett in Concord in the Broken Gound Trails area.

Their family and friends did not know anything about the Reids after they left their house in the Alton Woods apartment complex last Monday afternoon at 2: 15 in the afternoon for a walk in the woods on Broken Ground Trails.

The couple’s bodies were found very close to the Marsh Loop Trail.

“So, anyone who saw the Reids that Monday afternoon, anyone who walked those trails, anyone who has information related with his disappearance or death you should contact the Concord Police Department about anything you saw or heard that afternoon,” said New Hampshire Senior Deputy Attorney General Geoffrey Ward.

The authorities did not say if it was a targeted attack or if they have suspects. Residents of the area were asked to be vigilant However, officials said there is no reason to think local residents are at risk.

On Friday, Concord police and at least two K-9 units the New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game were scouring the area for evidence after passing 18 hours in the area.

Hikers were allowed to access a portion of the western leg of the trail at along the power line corridor, but was told to stay away from the east side as the K-9s were looking for clues.

“This is a tragedy,” Concord Deputy Police Chief John Thomas said. “It is something that came out of the blue and we are doing our due diligence, investing all of our resources, working with our state and local partners to bring this case to a successful resolution.”
