Sebastián Córdova was one of the most notorious signings in Mexican soccer. The Aztec arrived at Tigres de la UANL from the Águilas del América. However, the opportunities have been few. In recent days they compared the Liga MX midfielder with Pedri , an FC Barcelona player, but the criticism and ridicule fell on the feline player.
In this sense, Córdova highlighted this situation. Pedri is only 19 years old and is respected within Spanish football; while the Mexican considers that in Liga MX they do not have that support for players trained in Aztec lands.
“ The Mexican issue is difficult, there are times when I don’t know if they don’t trust you or the culture of ‘it’s good enough, you have to let it go’ isn’t right, there isn’t that here. For example of Pedri, he is younger than me, he has like 20 years and what he has achieved is not easy. Sebastián Córdova blames Miguel Herrera
The change of scenery has not been good for Córdova. His arrival at Tigres de la UANL has not been the best. The Mexican has only played five games as a starter so far this season. The former player of the Águilas del América has not been able to get a place in the starting squad and blames the role that Miguel Herrera imposes on him on the field.
“There are times that I feel lost during the game, I think it’s a tactical issue, asking what I need to be better, but I’m fine, I’m happy in the group and we take into account that we must achieve and seek the championship”, he concluded.
