Suel Ambrose, a student at Clariantian University of Nigeria, CUN, located in Nekede in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, collapsed and became inert while participating in a Bible demonstration.
According to reports, the audience thought he was part of the performance, however shortly after the emergency crews rushed him to the hospital, where he finally lost his life.
According to the Nigerian newspaper Vanguard, “ the tragedy occurred on Good Friday and the people who saw the play first thought it was a joke and part of the performance”.
However, “the student started to bleed after falling and the assistants realized that he was serious and took him to the hospital“.
“Initially Before, when it happened, we thought it was a joke and that it was part of the drama, it was when he couldn’t get up that we knew it was a serious matter and they rushed him to the hospital”, said one of the companions.
So far the cause of the young man’s death is unknown , while the University authorities canceled the entire Easter program due to the incident.
According to the Catholic Broadcast Commission, the young , 25 years old, came from Benue state and was dramatizing the role of Pedro.
