Three people were taken out of the car and arrested. Two of them were identified as Ven Bunton, of 22 years old, originally from Lowell, and Alexio Carmello-Marquez, 24 years old, from Tampa, Florida, both will face charges for the shooting. The third person was not charged.

For his part, Kevin Hayden, Suffolk District Attorney, visited the scene Sunday morning, praising Boston police officers for handling a “life-threatening situation from start to finish.”

“Once again we have bullets flying down a Boston street, victims clinging to life, and police moving fast to arrest people who not only had guns but didn’t hesitate to use them,” Hayden said. . “We will continue to prosecute people who use weapons and people who supply them.”

Bunton will be charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, two counts of assault and battery with attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, failure to stop for police, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and operating a unlicensed motor vehicle.

On the other hand, Carmello-Marquez will be charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and a fugitive from justice.
