Camila Sodi and Jencarlos Canela start production on 'Any Similar' for Paramount+

Camila Sodi and Jencarlos Canela have started production of the series “Any Similar” from the streaming platform Paramount+. For the niece of Thalía, this series marks her return to television after hits like “Rubí (2020)”, the second season of “Falsa Identidad” and the end of “Luis Miguel: La Serie”.

Jencarlos had been away from the Hispanic series since he concluded his participation in Telemundo’s telenovela “Pasión Prohibida” in 2013. Since then he had dedicated his time to Latin series in English such as “Telenovela” alongside Eva Longoria, “Grand Hotel”, and “The Expanding Universe of Ashley García”.

“Any Similar” portrays the life of Carlota (Camila Sodi), a Mexican actress, who is married to a successful musician (Jencarlos Canela). Her life seems perfect, however, she feels lonely and is tired of her husband putting her career above the relationship . As he gets closer to fulfilling her dream, she feels herself becoming invisible. After going through a painful separation, Carlota will begin the long journey of rediscovering herself wrapped in doubts and funny situations .

The series, produced by VIS in collaboration with Argos Original Content, is directed by Karina Minujin and executive produced by Jaime Ramos and Andrea de la Torre.

A week ago, Paramount+ also confirmed the start of filming for the series “I Have To Die Every Night” where Silvia Navarro

is part of the cast.

“I have to die every night” is a snapshot of gay nightlife, sophisticated and exclusive city of Mexico in the years 80, when the exacerbated freedom of a group of people who have lived the weight of a repressive society that it condemns them to ostracism.

The series, which will be available on the streaming platform Paramount +, portrays the life of a young man eager to explore the world and live freely when he arrives in Mexico City to study journalism. The decade of the 80 shakes the world and also the life of this young man who discovers, in an emblematic bar , a melting pot of unique and diverse characters, who will become part of their chosen family.

“I have to die every night” is directed by Ernesto Contreras and starring José Antonio Toledano, Davi Montalvo, Bryas Efe, Humberto Busto, Silvia Navarro, Cristina Rodlo, Marco de la O, along with a great cast.
