British special forces trained local troops in kyiv for the first time since the war with Russia began, the Ukrainian commanders told the British newspaper The Times.
According to the newspaper, officers from two battalions stationed in and around the Ukrainian capital asserted that they had received military training from British soldiers in the last two weeks.
Among them is captain Yuriy Myronenko, whose battalion is in Obolon, north of kyiv, who reported that the special forces military had come to instruct new recruits to use the NLAW, the anti-tank missiles supplied by the United Kingdom.

For The Times, this It is the first time that the presence of active British soldiers has been verified on Ukrainian soil since the war began.
