The woman, from 19 years old, had a blue t-shirt with a message against Glen Taylor, co-owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and also an animal farm owner.
¨Glen Taylor burns live animals¨, said the shirt that the chained woman had. After the fact, the woman threw pamphlets and confetti at the fans. Security officials had to cut the chain and escort the protester off the court.
Zoe Rosenburg, the protester, was arrested and booked into the Shelby County Jail on charges of disturbance of public order and trespassing.
Reporters reported that the woman who interrupted the game did so in an effort to raise awareness of the number of chickens that have recently died at the egg farm due to an outbreak of bird flu.
Last Tuesday there was also an altercation with a fan at the Target Center after a fan tried to stick her hand to the field, but was stopped by security devices. The woman was also protesting Glen Taylor over alleged animal abuse.
