Suspect arrested in triple homicide of Georgia family

A man from 30 years old was arrested in connection with an April 8 armed robbery at a Georgia shooting range that left three family members dead.

Jacob Christian Muse, of College Park, Georgia, was charged with three counts of murder with malice in connection with the triple homicide and was booked into the Coweta County Jail on Friday, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Authorities had been searching for a suspect since the bodies of the owner of the Lock Stock & Barrel shooting range were discovered along with his wife and grandson earlier this month in rural Coweta County, Georgia, about 50 miles southwest of Atlanta.

They also stole up to 40 weapons and v camera surveillance of the firing range.

Grantville police identified the victims as Thomas Hawk, of 75 years; his wife, Evelyn, aged 75 years old; and his grandson, Luke, from 17.

Police Chief Steve Whitlock told The Associated Press that The Hawk family was well known and respected in the small but tight-knit community. The family had owned and operated the shooting range for almost 30 years, with his grandson helping out in the store during Christmas vacations. spring.

The ATF is also involved in the investigation due to the large number of stolen weapons. The GBI says the investigation remains active and ongoing and encouraged anyone with information to call or contact them online.
