An officer of the armed forces of Ukraine dressed as a woman tried to take refuge in Moldova, to escape the war in his country, but was detained by the border authorities in Odessa, since had a military certificate.
A soldier who was identified as Verka Serduchka 26 years old, who was dressed as a woman, traveled in a taxi to the border between Ukraine and Moldova, where he tried to enter as a refugee to escape of the armed conflict in his country.
When the immigration agents reviewed his documents they realized that he had a military certificate and that in addition all his official papers indicated that he was a man .

As much as Serduchka explained his situation and reasons for leaving Ukraine, he was denied access to the neighboring country. He was detained in Odessa to be interrogated and find out if he only dressed in woman to escape or is a transgender woman who had not changed her documentation.
The person was not allowed access to Moldova, since the government of Ukraine issued a decree which reads, that all men among 18 Y 60 years cannot leave the country to help in the defense against the Russian invasion.
It is not the first time that a case like this has occurred, since Ukrainian transgender women have suffered several problems to be able to escape their nation. Some of them were in the process of changing all their documentation, because your gender identity does not match the sex indicated on your passport or birth certificate.
In Odessa, a Ukrainian man dressed as a woman, who wanted to escape from Ukraine to Moldova by taxi, was detained at a checkpoint.

Few Ukrainian transgender women have been able to take refuge in other countries like Lana Danevych, who is in Barcelona, Spain and confessed to the newspaper El País that life is much better for trans people, because there is no discrimination or violence like the one that existed in Ukraine before the war broke out.
According to data from the Spanish Trans platform, there are around 130,000 transgender women trapped in the country unable to leave for legal reasons.
