Despite the bad season that Genoa has had in Serie A in Italy, the Mexican Johan Vásquez has remained one of the best on the field and quickly earned his place in the Genoese team, however, the possible relegation could open the doors to the former Pumas with other teams from the Italian league.

One of the advantages for Vásquez if Genoa relegates, is that the player will be able to negotiate with any other team from the Serie A of Italy at no cost, helping his possible change of club and stay in the top flight after a lousy year and very close to relegation to the Series B.

In Italy they have speculated about the interest shown by the Atalanta and the Fiorentina. In the case of the Bergamo team, it would be a reinforcement that helps improve the image of the team of Gian Piero Gasperini, who has dropped a bit in the last season, although he remains one of the cheerleaders of the tournament.

Other teams that could open the door for the Mexican are Lazio and Sassuolo. The sky-blue team seeks to have low-cost reinforcements for next season in the midst of their aspirations to qualify for international cups. However, the biggest team that has raised interest is Inter Milan, although this could be a long shot.

Good numbers in Serie A for Johan Vásquez

The former Pumas has had a great season on a personal level, posting positive numbers in his first experience in international football. In total he has played 26 matches in Italy, adding 24 in the Serie A and 2 more in the Coppa Italia.

Being a fixture in the scheme of the Mexican National Team where he became one of the most important players in the cycle of Qualifiers for Qatar 2022, also, if the relegation of Genoa, the defender will be free to negotiate at no cost with any other institution.
