Joaquín “N”, former Cruz Azul assistant, was admitted to the El Altiplano prison and will remain there until the situation is clarified

Joaquín “N”, who worked until a few days ago as the technical assistant of Juan Reynosor in Cruz Azul, was already presented before the control judge on Wednesday afternoon, for crimes against health and money laundering, according to judicial sources.

After that he was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, when he was on his way to the Azteca Stadium to work on the semifinal second leg of the Concacaf Champions League between Pumas and Cruz Azul, Joaquín “N” is in the El Altiplano Maximum Security Prison where, due to the type of crimes, he will remain in informal preventive detention while his situation is clarified.

Joaquín N will face a judicial trial.

In 2018, the year in which Cruz Azul began the process, he was a technical assistant to Hernán Cristante in Toluca

As published by ESPN, the alleged suspect had his initial hearing on Wednesday afternoon and it is expected that this Thursday it will be determined whether he will be linked to process, after it is verified that his detention was carried out without irregularities.

It should be remembered that due to the seriousness of the matter, shortly after the news of the detention of his technical assistant, Cruz Azul decided to remove Joaquín “N” from the position, so his defense will be at his own expense and not by the club.

The judicial process against the person involved began in 2018 and since October of 2021 an arrest warrant was issued, which was executed in April of 2022.
