There is no more contrasting schedule in Hispanic primetime than that of the 10pm/9c on Univision and Telemundo. Both television networks compete to have the preference of the Latino audience but only one of them emerges victorious and it is Univision with a Turkish can. “Mother“, the melodrama from Turkey, is the sensation of the nights while “Pasión de Gavilanes 2” is everything the opposite.
Monday night’s most watched, 11 in April, was “Mother” which garnered 1.8 million total viewers. In the adult segment between 03 and 49 years of age, the Turkish soap opera achieved 660 thousand.
While Univision has the most watched drama in primetime, Telemundo has the least watched between the two networks since “Pasión de Gavilanes” has not managed to be a favorite among the audience. The Colombian telenovela starring Mario Cimarro and Danna García reached alone 633 thousand in total, one of its lowest marks in this second season. Within the segment of young adults, it only conquered 257 thousand , having the lowest audience in both metrics.
In the 7pm/6c time slot on Univision there is “La Rosa de Guadalupe” which achieved 1.3 million in total and 522 thousand in the demo. At 8pm/7c, “Single with Daughters” hit 1.5 million in total and 606 thousand in the demo. “Mi Fortuna Es Amarte” is at 9pm/8c and reached 1.6 million in total and 660 thousand in the demo, this last figure was the highest of the night.
Telemundo starts the night with two hours of “Exatlón” where achieves average 869 thousand in total and 286 thousand in the demo. His most precious jewel is the second season of “Hercai” (another Turkish soap opera) that reaches 1.1 million in total and 324 thousand in the demo.
