A suspicion of salmonella contamination in Europe has led the Italian confectionery brand Ferrero to voluntarily withdraw some of its products from US markets.
Through a report, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said that the assortment of chocolate Kinder Happy Moments and the Kinder Mix chocolate basket “were manufactured in a facility where Salmonella thphimurium was detected”, with no case reported in the country so far.
“Ferrero is voluntarily recalling the products as a precaution due to reported cases of Salmonella in consumers who consumed products in Europe that were manufactured in the same facilities,” reads a statement from the company. FDA.

The Italian company has advised its consumers that if they have some of their affected products on the shelves of their homes, they should not consume them. “We urge consumers to check at home to see if they have any of the products and if they do, make sure they don’t eat them,” he said.
