Billboard Music Awards 2022: Know the complete list of nominees, led by The Weeknd
This Friday, April 8, 2022 the nominees for the Billboard Music Awards were presented 2022 (BBMAs 2022) , which will occur on May 2022 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be broadcast on NBC in the United States. The Weeknd will compete for the most prizes in 17 categories.
The most nominated female artist is Doja Cat, with . Nearby are Justin Bieber, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Olivia Rodrigo; the three with disputed categories. Other of the most nominated artists are Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, The Kid LAROI, BTS, Givēon and Taylor Swift.
Among the Latino nominees for the BBMAs 2022, are Bad Bunny, Farruko, Kali Uchis, Karol G, Rauw Alejandro, Caliber 50, Eslabón Armado, Grupo Firme, Ricky Martin and Los Bukis, in categories such as “ Top Latin Artist”, “Top Latin Album”, “Top Latin Tour”, among others.
This year five new categories were added. Four of them are based on Billboard’s official global charts: “Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, Top Billboard Global Excl. US Artist”, “Top Billboard Global 200 Song” and “Top Billboard Global Excl US Song”. The fifth category added will award the viral song of the year.
In the next few days, it will be announced who will receive the special awards such as Billboard Icon Award and Billboard Change Maker Award, in addition to this year’s driver.
