Matías Almeyda has his heart divided between Mexico and Argentina for the 2022 Qatar World Cup: “Both will pass”

“As an Argentine-Mexican who I’m sorry, I think both are going to pass. You don’t have to question yourself so much, they are two great teams, with two great coaching staffs. I want both of them to pass, it is preferable that they meet in the groups and not later”, expressed Matías Almeyda in the press conference after the duel in which the Quakes tied 2-2 against Austin FC.

Almeyda He is Argentine by birth, but after the years he spent in Mexico and everything he experienced while coaching Chivas, he considers himself Mexican too, so those will be the two teams he will support in Qatar 2022.

Mexico and Argentina were placed in Group C and will face each other in the second game, after the Tri open against Poland and the South Americans face Saudi Arabia in the first round.
