Women who own small businesses in Los Angeles can apply for financial aid up to $15,000 dollars

Women who own small businesses in the city of Los Angeles may be eligible to receive financial support of up to $15,000 Dollars.

Starting Friday, small businesses can apply for support from the Microenterprise Recovery Grant Program, granted by the city of Los Angeles with funds close to $8.5 million dollars, of which $1 million dollars will be given exclusively to women in the Equity Funds Program.

The term application was open on Friday 25 March and will remain available until 19 April 2021, at 11: 59 pm.

Owners of massage sites, beauty salons or vendors can apply to receive support.

On their website, the program says that the Micro Business Recovery Grant will provide funds up to $15, dollars to eligible micro-enterprises in the city of Los Angeles and who need financial help to recover from the COVID pandemic.

Resources come from Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) funds)

assigned to the city to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus disease.

Priority to receive support will be those microenterprises that have not previously received assistance from any municipal, state or federal program.

Funds may be used for operating expenses, including payroll, lease, insurance or inventory payments.

Residents interested in obtaining the support must submit complete applications before the deadline, in addition to providing all the necessary documentation to confirm that they meet the requirements, terms and conditions of eligibility dad.

It will also be necessary to explain how the resources will be used and put receipts showing that the funds were used for said purposes.

Guidelines apply to both the Microbusiness Recovery Grant and the Equity Funds Program, collectively referred to as Microenterprise Subsidies Program.

The beneficiaries will be selected according to the availability of resources, the guidelines of the program, the presentation of all the required information and supporting documentation.

According to the National Council of Women Entrepreneurs, the financing of businesses d e women decreased 2.3% in 2020, being the female sector of the most affected by the COVID pandemic.
