Parents of teen who died at Florida amusement park hire lawyers

The parents of Tire Sampson, who died after falling from an attraction at an amusement park in Florida called the FreeFall, hired attorneys who are intended to seek witnesses to the incident.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri , the young man of 14 years old, died on Last Thursday night after falling from a free fall attraction at Icon Park in Orlando.

Detectives will determine if the incident was accidental or intentional, according to the initial investigation, “it appears to be a terrible tragedy”, Orange County Sheriff John Mina said.

Lawyers Ben Crump and Bob Hilliard reported this Saturday that the teenager’s parents had hired them separately. Lawyers asked anyone who saw anything of the incident to contact them.

“This family is shocked and heartbroken by the loss of their son,” Crump said. “This young man was the kind of son all parents expect: an honor roll student, an aspiring athlete, and a kind-hearted person who cared about others. . Needless to say, his family is absolutely devastated.”

For his part , Hilliard stated that “families have a right to expect these national theme parks, which earn millions of dollars, to keep their children safe and put that safety above all else” .

The FreeFall takes at least 30 people to the top of a tower of 131 meters high, tilts them towards the ground and descends in free fall at speeds reaching 120 km/h, review the ICON Park website. It is also called as the tallest drop tower in the world, the bailiff said.

According to an inspection report obtained by CNN, the FreeFall passed an inspection last December before he was allowed to open it to the public.
