District Attorney W. Crosby Parker of Biloxi stated that the man who sexually abused and assaulted two minors of age, becoming pregnant was sentenced by the judge to pass 30 years in prison.
Laterrance Nathan, pleaded guilty to the two felonies for which he had been charged, during his court hearing , but Judge Christopher Schmidt was unrelenting in his decision and sentenced him to remain in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, ineligible for parole.

“ The sentence issued by the Court reflects the seriousness of the crime and due to its nature, the accused will be 30 years old, and will not be eligible for early release or parole,” he explained. Through a statement, District Attorney W. Crosby Parker, exposed by the Sun Herald.
The events took place in 2019, when the defendant abused and sexually assaulted two girls for many months and on constant occasions; one of 14 years old and the other of 15, Both girls did not report for fear of Nathan.
In the year 2020, one of them turned out to be pregnant and had to tell the whole truth. The minor underwent a DNA test in which it was confirmed that the father of the baby was Laterrance Nathan

“The victims in this case have shown incredible strength during this difficult time. Children don’t always realize immediately when abuse is taking place, especially when it happens at the hands of a friend, family member or other trusted adult.” said Deputy District Attorney Alison Baker.
The authorities began the investigation and search until arresting the man, who remained in the police station until day of his sentence that was carried out this week.
