Maserati is already thinking about electrification

Looking to the future, Maserati is preparing the GranTurismo Folgore, the first zero-emission sports car that could land soon.

The firm Italian Maserati has unveiled its plans for things to come, including the forerunner GranTurismo Folgore , an electric and sports coupé.

That would be the first step to electrification since it is expected that by the year 2030 that the entire range will be zero emissions.

In this way all electrical products would receive the denomination Folgore (lightning bolt in Italian) next to the model name.

Regarding the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore

A series of images have been shown with a special camouflage.

This sports coupe is shown off with an elongated hood or and a delayed cabin. It also has thin front headlights and wheels with an unconventional design.

Beyond its particular paint and graphics that are part of the camouflage, the taillights are located horizontally .

The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore could move thanks to a system made up of three motors that together would develop about 1200 horsepower. With this, it would complete 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 300 kilometers.
