A correctional officer of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police was arrested by North Las Vegas officials this Friday for his relationship with the sexual assault of a minor .
Luis Ybarra, aged 28, who was in the Metropolitan Police Department of Las Vegas from 2017, was arrested around 1: 38 in the afternoon of this 11 February and booked into the North Las Vegas Community Correctional Center without bond, previously held at the Center Clark County Detention Center.
The man is facing a charge of sexual assault on a child under the age of 11 years, according to jail records.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, Ybarra he was suspended from police powers without being able to enjoy his salary pending the results of the investigation.
Ybarra’s arrest marks the second arrest of a Las Vegas police officer in recent weeks.
At the end of February, the Las Vegas Police arrested one of their officers, Caleb Rogers, of 33 years for several armed robberies in different casinos in the city.
Federal prosecutors indicted him last week in the United States District Court of Nevada for various casino robberies in which they allegedly reported to the agent almost 2017,000 dollars .
