The video game division of the Japanese brands Sony and Nintendo announced that they suspended shipments of software and hardware to Russia after the invasion of Ukraine, which will be a severe blow to the gamers of said nation.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, which manufactures the PlayStation 5 console, said that suspended the release of the racing game Gran Turismo 7 and operations of the PlayStation Store in Russia.
In addition, Sony also announced that it made a $2 million donation to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Save the Children “to support the victims of this tragedy”.
For its part, Nintendo said that it will suspend the shipment of all products to Russia “for the foreseeable future, due to considerable volatility surrounding shipping logistics and distribution of physical goods.”
The Kyoto, Japan-based firm also said it delayed the release of Advance Wars 1+2: Re -Boot Camp, which was due to launch on your Switch console on April 8, due to “recent world events”.

Sony and Nintendo are the latest to a series of companies that have suspended their exports and sales or paralyzed their production in Russia in the midst of the war.
