Ohio woman loses $600,000 after being scammed by man she met on social media

A woman from the city of Solon reported to the police department that she had been the victim of a scam by investing in a company that turned out to not exist.

The victim, whose identity was not revealed, explained to the authorities that met a man through social networks and he was the one who encouraged her to invest in cryptocurrencies.

The woman from 52 Years encouraged by the subject, she began to put her money into the company Coinbase that does exist and is legitimate. The first time he made the movements he made a profit and was convinced that it would be an excellent business.

Advised by the individual, made a second payment to the same place, only this time the strategy changed a bit, since had to transfer the profits to another company. When he wanted to withdraw his money, it turned out that the company to which she had sent all her capital did not exist.

The man had stolen $600,000 dollars with the supposed investments you made. The victim tried to contact and search for the scammer, but failed, so she approached the police to report the scam.

The city police is investigating the case and looking for the man before he commits more fraud.
