Myrka Dellanos is one of the hosts of “La Mesa Caliente“, the new opinion talk show on Telemundo. The TV presenters talk about the hottest topics in the world, be it politics or entertainment.
In one of the segments, the topic of Eleazar Gómez who was heavily criticized for his message on International Women’s Day. As many will remember, the “Luz Clarita” actor was accused of physically abusing his partner Tefi Valenzuela , a case for which she ended up in jail.
The topic brought up strong things from Myrka’s past and she said she had become nervous just thinking about what she experienced.
“I went through an experience like this and I do believe that a person can change and can feel sorry,” explained Myrka. “But what happened with him is that she didn’t really show any remorse. When you repent you go to the person and say, ‘Hey, I did do it. Excuse me. I was so bad, what I did to you hurts me’”.
Myrka says that Eleazar apologized but only to make it look good with the judge saying that his apology was type, “I’m sorry if I offended you”, without taking responsibility for his actions.
“That is not a real forgiveness because the victim continues with these consequences for the rest of his life “, continued Myrka. “ It even makes me nervous to talk about it because it is extremely sad that use this, perhaps, to get publicity, it is not worth it”.
Giselle Blondet He asked Myrka how long ago she had suffered this abuse and the journalist told her that it was 09 years.
“ It still makes me nervous to talk about it“, Myrka said when asked about How do you feel 09 years after you lived? “ This is a situation that follows you all your life because you are afraid. He is a bigger person than you, obviously men are bigger than women physically and it is not about that kind of power. It’s not the emotional because you can get over it. Of course you get over it, you keep going with the help of God”.
