Mexican journalist apologized for saying that 17 people had died during the violent events in Querétaro vs. Atlas

The Mexican journalist from TV Azteca David Medrano Félix offered his most sincere apologies for the erroneous information he published on Saturday about the violent events that took place at the Corregidora stadium, during the match between Gallos de Querétario and Atlas.

Through a message on his Twitter account, the communicator stated that takes responsibility for stating that 17 people had died during the pitched battle that shocked the world of football.

From the same Sunday He learned from the Querétaro authorities that no fatalities had been recorded during the events in La Corregidora. In fact, it was reported that at least 26 people were injured.

This Tuesday the Querétaro authorities assured that of the total number of injured, 25 had already been discharged and one remains in poor health, and receives the necessary medical care.

After the violent acts it was learned that some 550 have been detained allegedly responsible for the attacks against Atlas fans.
