FBI agents shot and injured a lawyer after he pointed a firearm at officers who had shown up at his home in northwest Las Vegas to speak with him, according to a federal probable cause complaint.
Officials reported that Matthew Beasley first pointed the gun at his head, before pointing guns at the officers, causing one of the officers to shoot him.
Lawyer faces one charge of assault on a federal officer after Thursday’s shooting on the block 5400 of Ruffian Road, in the vicinity of Ann Road.
Gary Schofield, US Marshal of Nevada, said that Beasley was released from the hospital last Monday and taken into police custody.

In this sense, the Beasley’s attorney expects him to appear in court for the first time in the next few days, although an estimated date is not yet available.
Records of the Nevada Secretary of State revealed that Beasley is the president, secretary, treasurer and director of the Beasley Law Group.
Dan Hooge, senior attorney for the Nevada State Bar, said Monday that Beasley’s organization was in the process of gathering data to initiate a formal investigation to see what disciplinary sanctions the man will face.
