$5.49 dollars the price of self-service regular gasoline rose this Monday in the Los Angeles County.
During the weekend, at the national level, a gallon of gasoline reached a price of a little over $4 dollars, while in southern California it approached the $7 dollars in some service stations in the city of Los Angeles.
For residents in other locations in California, the price of fuel has reached levels never before imagined, as shared by the former Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres pitcher, Jered Weaver, posting on social media that gas has exceeded $8 per gallon in the community of Gorda, Monterey County.
Some drivers did not mind queuing at the Sam’s Club store in Arcadia where gas was offered for $4.30 dollars, which is a real bargain right now.
This Monday morning, the average prices per gallon of regular gasoline in the Los Angeles and Orange counties were $5.33 dollars.
The average price had an increase of 9.5 cents on Saturday and of 12 .8 cents on Sunday, its second-largest daily increase since 14 July 2015, according to figures from the American Automobile Association (AAA) and the Petroleum Price Information Service.
Regular gasoline has increased 34 times in 34 days, with an increase of 76 cents in the County of Los Angeles. It is 54.3 cents more expensive than a week ago, 68.9 cents higher than a month ago and $1.621 dollars higher than a month ago one year.
In Ventura and San Bernardino counties they were $5.34 dollars, while in Riverside County it was offered at 5.30 Dollars.
“It is a really unfortunate time to see these prices so high, especially given that we are coming out of a 2-year period of lockdowns and restrictions. People want to get out and travel again and do things again,” Auto Club Southern California spokesman Doug Shupe told NBC
