Despite the tragic acts of violence recorded at the La Registradora Stadium in Querétaro, the president of Liga MX, Mikel Arriola, reported that the day will be played normally 10 next weekend.
While the investigations of the Mexican soccer organization and the competent authorities continue to find responsible for the fight between fans of the Gallos Blancos and Atlas (so far more than 20 injured), the matches will continue.
“Yes, there will be. We solve this problem through sanctions and security reinforcement measures and we continue with our days, with our matches, with all the emphasis on security and very active in asking people to trust football and that we continue with our day and with this World Cup year”
Mikel Arriola
In conversation for Televisa News of Mexico, the high-ranking official stressed that they seek to find those responsible for the violent acts and not to leave footballers without work
:
“We have to take care of the source of work for soccer players, which is very important. We have to solve like football this very week, first the sanctions and then the measures to close the space to these violent groups”, he explained.
Also I anticipate that measures are being studied within the organization so that this type of event that tarnishes the reputation of Liga MX does not happen again: “Exemplary sanctions and having the route very clear.”
On the other hand, Arriola did not offer details on the possible option of disassociating Gallos Blancos de Querétaro from the Closing Tournament 2022, but what is known is that La Registradora Stadium will remain disabled.
