Last week Kanye West released one of his most controversial projects to date, the video for his single “Eazy”, in which his cartoon and animation “alter ego” appears beheading and burying alive a man who clearly represents Pete Davidson, the current boyfriend of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The comedian of the TV show “Saturday Night Live” has not yet commented on this latest attack by rapper, but his friends and acquaintances have been quick to defend him on social media. James Gunn, the director of the film “Guardians of the galaxy”, has defined it on Twitter as one of the kindest young men he has ever met, adding that the comedian always treats everyone around him with the respect that Kanye has failed to show him. Kaley Cuoco, who has worked with Pete in “ Meet cute” , has agreed with him by answering: “It’s true”. The musician Gene Simmons goes further and believes that Kim Kardashian’s ex needs to find a new hobby to overcome the fact that she has turned the page after their separation.
All These criticisms have not gone unnoticed by Kanye, who now defended his music video through Instagram implying that he does not hold any grudge against Pete Davidson, contrary to what might seem from his behavior. “Art is therapy, just like these views. Art is protected as a form of freedom of expression. Art inspires us and simplifies the world. Art is not a way to harm or wish evil. Any statement that says otherwise about my art is false and malicious, “he assured in a publication that he accompanied by a drawing of a burning church.
