Florida mother pleads guilty to murdering her 5-year-old girl

A Florida woman who had previously reported her daughter missing five years after a week before the minor’s body was found in Alabama in a state of decomposition, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder

, authorities said Friday.

Hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, Brianna Williams will face a probable life sentence after arriving to a plea deal, the prosecutor’s office said.

From 29 years old, the woman is a former Navy Petty Officer 1st Class, contacted the Sheriff’s Office on November 6, 2019 and reported that her daughter, Taylor, was missing and that the back door of her home was open, according to the agents.

The woman stopped helping with the officers after they realized that there were certain inconsistencies in the story of her story, for which they considered her suspicious .

A week after the girl’s disappearance was reported, her decomposed body was found who were later identified as those of the missing girl in the town of Demopolis, Alabama, officials reported.

Likewise, the Alabama State Attorney, Lauren Anderson, ruled that some of the remains of the minor’s body showed signs of probable malnutrition, trauma or disease.

The court ruling is scheduled for the month of May, in accordance with court records. Although the maximum sentence could be life in prison, the reference minimum sentence is more than 20 years, reported the prosecutor’s office.
