A woman died and six people were injured in a violent traffic accident this Saturday night on Malibu Canyon Road, in Agoura Hills, in the Calabasas area.
The mishap occurred at approximately 8: 30 pm in an unincorporated area of the Santa Monica Mountains, north of Malibu.
Los Angeles County Fire Department ( LACoFD) reported that one woman from about 20 years old was found dead when rescuers arrived at the scene of the incident.
Six other people were injured, four of them were reported in critical condition and required air transportation for their transfer to the hospital.
The rescue forces had to resort to the use of emergency extraction tools
to rescue some of the injured people.
California Highways (CHP) issued an S igAlert for Malibu Canyon Road, just south of Piuma Road, after receiving reports that the two-car collision blocked the north and south lanes of the road .
The authorities closed the avenue and requested the drivers who circulated in the area to use alternate routes.
Malibu Canyon Road was opened to traffic shortly before 12 am
At the moment it was not clear what had caused the collision between the two vehicles and the avenue remained closed while the officers of the police carried out their investigations.
