Russia awaits Ukraine's response to negotiations until 12:00 GMT

Russia will wait for Ukraine’s response on the negotiation in the Belarusian city of Gomel until 15.00 local time (12.00 GMT), announced the adviser to the Russian Presidency and head of the negotiating delegation, Vladimir Medinski.

“It is noon now. Until 15.00 hours we will be here and wait for confirmation from the Ukrainian side that it travels to Gomel for negotiations“, Medinski told the press at the Russian Embassy in Minsk, quoted by the official Russian agency TASS.

He added that once that confirmation is received the delegation will leave in the direction of Gomel, some 300 kilometers southeast of Minsk and 40 from the border with Ukraine .

The delegation led by Medinski is made up, among others, of Deputy Foreign Minister Andéi Rudenko, Ambassador Russian in Belarus, Borís Grizlov, and head of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Duma or Chamber of Deputies, Leonid Slutski.

“All responsibility for the future development of events will fall on the current authorities of Ukraine”, warned Slutski on his Telegram channel in the face of a possible refusal by the Kiev Government to sit down to negotiate.

This morning, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, refused to hold negotiations on the territory of Belarus, which he accused of being an accomplice to the aggression of Russia against your country.

“Warsaw, Budapest , Istanbul, Baku… we proposed all this to the Russian side, and in fact any other city in any country from which missiles are not launched at us is worth it (as a venue), ”Zelensky said in a video message,
