A medical student in India was caught cheating on an exam using a Bluetooth device surgically implanted in his ear.

The event occurred in the city of Indore, specifically at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College when the subject presented an exam, which had failed multiple times since entering college more than 11 years.

Sanjay Dixit, dean of the university’s medical school, commented to The Independent that during the evaluation, those responsible for the test were able to identify a student with a cell phone which was connected to a Bluetooth device. Their surprise came when they discovered that the device was implanted in the ear, which is why they could not recover the device.

“I was doing the General Medicine exam on Monday with others 13 people when a team University of Devi Ahilya Bai University
went into a surprise search and found one student with a cell phone and another with a Bluetooth device”, Dixit indicated.

He added that the equipment was seized and that the answer sheets were seized and new ones were delivered.

After being interrogated by the authorities of the house of studies The student revealed that the skin-colored device had been implanted in his ear thanks to an otorhinolaryngologist surgeon.

According to the authorities of the university, this was not the only student to be caught cheating with a Bluetooth device, as another young man was also found trying to break the rules.

However, in his case the young man indicated that his device was not surgically implanted but was only adhered to his skin.

Both cases will be investigated by the university to determine the sanctions that will be imposed on the students . According to the Indian media, this type of internship is not unusual because the number of university places and jobs is significantly lower than the demand. This causes many young people to try to improve their chances of employment by cheating during their university career in order to have a better academic average and have more opportunities to obtain good jobs
