Roman Abramovich parted ways with Chelsea FC after sanctions by the British government for its links with the Russian government, leaving the London team financially adrift.

In a text published by the club’s social networks, the Russian tycoon pointed out that his role as owner, his interests were always to ensure the well-being of the team and he will cede everything to the workers of the Chelsea Foundation.

According to information from the English newspaper The Times , the team could fall into imminent bankruptcy after the freezing of Roman Abramovich’s assets by the British government. On the other hand, Chelsea is already in negotiations with several interested parties in its purchase.

One of them is Sir Jime Ratcliffe, current owner of Nice of the French League and of the chemical company INEOS, in addition, it was learned that there are several entrepreneurs from the United States interested in joining the purchase of Chelsea.

Chelsea will face Liverpool in the final of the League Cup and the coach Thomas Túchel pointed out that the team is currently affected by the situation with its owner .
