Roger Martínez: “We have to think about the game and not beyond that”

In another edition of the ‘Clásico Capitalino’ between Pumas from UNAM and the Águilas del América , the teams will meet with very marked differences where the Colombian striker Roger Martínez tried to encourage his teammates to improve the image in the next game.

Martínez, who has become one of the attacking tools preferred by Santiago Solari, since the last tournament and for the match against Pumas, he is emerging as a starter. After finishing the Eagles’ training session, the player motivated his teammates. “We have to think about the game and not beyond that. We are all committed, we know what kind of match it is, it is a classic and we have to give our best on the pitch, leave everything as it should always be done at this club. It’s going to be a nice game, we have to try to enjoy it and move forward”, he said.

On the other hand, he pointed out that the image shown is not something that reflects what happens inside the locker room or the collective frustrations.

“It is not an attitude issue. Always in a team you have to be strong in the head, in the heart and when entering the field give your best. I know that we are going to get out of this, we are all committed, the coaching staff and each player who enters the field is going to give their best. I know that everything will be fine from now on”, he sentenced.

Pumas from UNAM will receive the Águilas del América, with the expectation of what will happen with Santiago Solari at the head of the Coapa team.
