Sex expert tested all natural aphrodisiacs and revealed which ones work best on Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up, but many people are too tired from their daily activities to perform on the big night.

So it’s no wonder some people try aphrodisiacs to get in the mood. But, which ones really work?

From Goji berries to maca powder, the expert on sexual matters from The Sun newspaper, Georgette Culley tested the best-known natural aphrodisiacs and points out which ones work best.

Oysters

It’s hard to see what’s so sexy about these slimy little sea creatures, but they are probably the most famous aphrodisiac.

Seafood is packed with zinc, which is believed to increase libido.

“I sprinkled mine with lemon and Tabasco to hide the fishy taste, but it didn’t do me much good. But my partner, who was three, ended up getting frisky. After Tabasco, my mouth was the only thing that felt hot,” Culley pointed out.

Chocolate

Not only does it taste great, it contains two vital chemicals, tryptophan and phenylethylamine, which release happy hormones and put you in a good mood.

The former is a building block of serotonin , a brain chemical important in sexual arousal.

The latter is a natural stimulant like an amphetamine, and is released in the brain when people fall in love.

“After stuffing myself with almost an entire box, I definitely felt loved, but also a little unwell. In the end, I wanted hugs and a bubble bath more than any mischief”, said the expert.

Goat weed

This aptly named supplement originates from Asia and contains chemicals that appear to help increase blood flow and improve sexual function.

It is said to work for both men and women.

“It needs about fifteen days to a month to take effect, but I experienced a slight increase in my sex drive, but it may have been the placebo effect. Either way, I’m not complaining,” Culley said.

Goji Berries

It This “superfood” is supposed to boost your sex life. The small red berries are said to increase testosterone production in both men and women, making us feel sexy.

“However, I really didn’t like the taste. It has a strange taste that was quite bitter and they are difficult to quickly chew and swallow.

“But all was not lost. After consuming half a small bag, I felt more relaxed and excitable than before. And after a long night of passion, I caught my boyfriend sneaking them into my morning smoothie,” Culley pointed out.

Maca Powder

This plant extracted from high in the Andes mountains, is said to be a natural aphrodisiac that can help with fertility and provide larger breasts.

The problem lies in its taste.

“It tastes like expired malted milk, so I had to add a lot of sugar to try to make it bearable.

“After a few cups, my senses sharpened, making every caress from my partner more pleasurable. But I couldn’t get rid of the bitter aftertaste and felt bad, so any action was quickly put on hold.”

Fresh figs

Dried or fresh, the fruit is considered seductive because it resembles the female sexual organs that, according to scientists, stimulate the sexual appetite.

“I tried a fresh one, it was tender and quite syrupy. It wasn’t unpleasant, but I didn’t love it.

“I slurped half a dozen as they turned out quite appetizing. I definitely ended up feeling a bit fruity afterward as I found my boyfriend irresistible in his pajamas and it didn’t take long before we got on our nerves.”

Almonds

Food rich in vitamin E supposedly promote the production of sex hormones, which increase sexual desire. Almonds have been linked to fertility since ancient times.

“After eating them all day, I definitely felt that my mood improved and my lustful feelings increased.

“But if this was due to my little girl finally settling down to sleep early and giving me some decent adult time, I’m not sure ”.

Red wine

A moderate amount of wine is said to Red wine improves sexual desire and function in women.

Resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found in the skin of red grapes, it increases blood flow to your nether regions and increases your chances of having an orgasm.

But don’t overdo it, as too much alcohol will make you drowsy and affect your ability to “get there ”.

“After two (generous) drinks during dinner with my partner, I become flirtatious and dirty. But I can’t resist another glass and I end up desperate to go to bed”.

Strawberries

Feeding strawberries to your lover is a real turn-on, but they also contain vitamin C which helps produce sex and fertility hormones like androgens , estrogens and progesterone, which are important for arousal.

“To up the ante, my partner blindfolded me in bed and fed me strawberries dipped in chocolate sauce.

“The sensory deprivation made each caress and each kiss intensify and the whole experience was very sensual and romantic. Just don’t use your best sheets”.
