The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon received an emergency call where requested the help of the authorities for a shooting in rural Sunny Valley.
The man who requested emergency help explained to the receptionist that a bear was prowling around his garden and wanting to scare him to prevent him from entering his house, he accidentally shot his brother.
When the authorities arrived at the community, which is north of Grant’s Pass, they discovered a lifeless man with the impact of a bullet and when checking the house they ran into another individual dead with a bullet that indicated it had been self-inflicted.
The officers assume that the man who committed suicide is the one who made the call to 911, after taking a firearm to shoot and scare the bear, but the bullet embedded itself in the body of his brother. There were no other people in the house.
The two subjects have not been identified, but investigations continue, although So far, Josephine’s authorities rule out a crime to prosecute.
