Arturo Rivera, the bearer of one of the most iconic voices in Mexican wrestling broadcasts, passed away this Wednesday, February 9, leaving one pending of his great desires: to reconcile with El Hijo del Santo , since they became good friends, but a few years ago a tweet from the commentator caused the gladiator to distance himself.
According to Mediotiempo, “El Rudo” Rivera was to blame for the dissolution of their friendship, since after several years of collaborating, traveling and adventures, published in his Twitter account a message in which he attacked the son of the legend.
“Terrible. The Son of the Saint continues to live on the glory of his father. Bad career, lawsuits, hatred with his family , are the common denominator of his life. What could have been a legend was thrown away because of his ego. Poor guy”, he wrote in October of 2018.
For his part, the son of The Silver Masked Man confirmed distancing in an interview with Adela Micha at 2019 and saying that when he changed wrestling companies, the commentator began to attack him:
“At the time we had a beautiful friendship, we worked on a movie and a cartoon with Cartoon Network and we came up with the idea of that it was drawn. He was very married to AAA and when I parted ways with the company , I feel like he took sides. Unfortunately he started attacking me”, he expressed.
“I got along very well, we traveled, we laughed a lot and with me he was always very respectful in his narrations, but I feel that he took sides”, he added in the conversation with the communicator.
After this, Arturo Rivera, at an event at the Juan de la Barrera, reconciled with LA Park, another gladiator with whom he had a great friendship and, later, several differences; At the end, he expressed his desire to smooth things over with two other figures of the pancracy:
“After LA Park I only have two left to reconcile: Warrior Force and the Son of the Saint, I do not live based on grudges or annoyances, I prefer to add than subtract, ”he commented in an interview for La Tijera Lucha Libre, a YouTube channel.
